Getting started
1. Sort a page tree
- Open a page whose child pages you want sorted and choose ••• → Sort child pages. (Or go to Space settings → Tidy Tree, or, for Confluence admins, Settings → Tidy Tree.)
- Pick the order: title A→Z, Z→A, oldest first, newest first or recently updated.
- Optionally pick how many levels to sort, pin pages to the top or bottom, put folders first or ignore leading numbers.
- Check the preview: it shows the order now, the order after sorting and how many pages move.
- Click Save and sort now.
2. Keep it sorted
Leave Keep it sorted on. When a page is created, moved in, renamed or restored under a sorted page, Tidy Tree puts it in place about 20 seconds later. A daily check fixes anything that was missed or reordered by hand.
3. Undo
Every run saves the order it started from. Click Undo last sort on the rule to put the pages back.
4. Who may sort
Confluence admins can sort any space. Space admins can sort their own space; a Confluence admin can turn that off in the app settings. Tidy Tree only sorts under pages the person can see.
5. Run history
Recent runs shows how many pages moved and, if a page couldn't be moved, why (for example a page restriction).
