Portal Notices for Jira Service Management
Maintenance windows, outages and holiday hours on your customer portal — in every customer’s own time zone.
Tell customers about planned maintenance, outages, holiday hours and new request forms right where they raise requests — before they raise the same request twice.
What you can do
- Announce maintenance windows. Customers see the window in their own time zone and language, marked Scheduled or In progress. The notice ends with the window.
- Pin outage notices. Turn off closing for an outage so every customer sees it until you end it.
- Reach the right customers. Target the help center or specific portals, portal pages (home, request form, request details, my requests, approvals, profile), request types and customer organizations. Show notices to everyone, only signed-in customers, or only visitors of public portals.
- Schedule and repeat. Start and end dates, weekly repeats for weekend hours, several notices at once.
- Let project admins help. Service project admins can post notices on their own portal. Jira admins can turn this off.
- Make it look right. 12 designs from a quiet one-line notice to a big spotlight, your brand color, light and dark themes.
- Speak their language. Add translations; each customer sees the one for their profile language.
- Start fast. Templates for maintenance, outages, resolved incidents, holiday hours, slower replies and new request forms — and save your own.
Built on Forge
The app runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform and reads Jira Service Management with read-only permissions. Notices are stored in Forge storage in your Atlassian cloud; nothing is sent to servers of ours or anyone else's. See Privacy and Security.
