FAQ

Can a customer see another customer's request details?

No. Before showing anything, the app asks Jira, as that customer, whether they may open the request, and checks that it belongs to the portal they're on. For customers Jira can't be asked about, the app checks that they reported the request, take part in it or belong to an organization it's shared with. Otherwise nothing is shown.

Which fields can't be shown?

Comments, work logs, attachments, security levels, description and environment. They can't be picked at all.

Will customers see internal issue titles?

Not unless you allow it. Linked issues the customer can't open appear only as "to do / in progress / done", and only if you choose to show them.

Which time zone are dates in?

The customer's own, taken from their profile or browser, with the zone shown.

Which languages?

Fixed words (Due, Overdue, Met…) in English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (simplified and traditional), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian and Dutch. Labels and notes are what you write.

Can project admins set it up?

Yes, for their own portal, from Project settings. A Jira admin can turn that off.

Does it work for anonymous portal visitors?

No. Jira Service Management doesn't offer request pages to anonymous visitors.

What happens if the subscription ends?

Customers stop seeing the extra details. Your setup is kept.
