Read confirmations

Ask people to confirm they have read something, see who has, and keep a record for audits.

One confirmation for a banner

Turn on Ask readers to confirm with a "Got it" button. The banner stays until each person clicks Got it. Open the banner in the app to see:

  • Confirmed: who confirmed and when.
  • Not confirmed yet: if the banner targets one or more groups, click Find who hasn't confirmed for the list and the confirmation rate.

One confirmation per page (policies and SOPs)

  1. Start from the Read & confirm template. It asks for a confirmation on every page labelled policy.
  2. Add the policy label to each required page (or choose your own label, or a space).
  3. Optionally target a group, such as all employees, so you can see who hasn't confirmed.
  4. Publish.

Each page now asks for its own confirmation — one label covers 20 or 200 pages, with no per-page setup. In the app you see each page with its number of confirmations; pick a page to see who confirmed it and who hasn't.

When a page changes

Turn on Ask again when the page is edited (on by default in the Read & confirm template). Each confirmation records the page version it was given for. When someone edits the page, everyone who confirmed an older version sees the banner again. The app shows, per page, how many people are on an older version, and they count as not confirmed until they confirm again.

Confirmations given before you turned the option on count until the page is next edited.

Every confirmation at a glance

Open 📋 Read confirmations in the app's sidebar for all banners that ask for confirmation: confirmed, on an older version, not yet, and the confirmation rate, plus the people who owe the most confirmations. Export all (CSV) puts every banner in one file.

Deadlines

Set Confirm by. The banner shows the date ("Due Oct 16"). Once it passes, the banner turns urgent — red, first in line — for everyone who still hasn't confirmed.

Export for audits

Click Export CSV. The file lists each confirmation with name, Atlassian account ID, time (UTC) and, for per-page banners, the page — and, when pages ask again after edits, the version each person confirmed and the page's current version. If the banner targets groups, people who haven't confirmed are included with the status "Not confirmed". If your browser blocks the download, the same text is shown to copy.

Repeating banners

For a banner that repeats weekly, a confirmation counts for the current round only, so next week's notice asks again and the numbers show this round.

Confirmations are stored in Forge storage in your Atlassian cloud. Deleting a banner deletes its confirmations.
