Confluence already has an announcement banner. Why this app?

The built-in banner shows one banner for the whole site, and scheduling it needs Confluence Premium. This app schedules and repeats banners on any plan, runs several at once, targets spaces, groups and page labels, lets space admins post their own, and tracks who read what — per page if you need it.

Who can create banners?

Confluence admins, for the whole site. Space admins, for their own space, unless a Confluence admin turns that off.

How many banners can I have?

Up to 100 site-wide banners and 50 per space, including ended ones. Delete old banners to make room.

Will it slow Confluence down?

The banner loads separately from the page and shows nothing until it's ready, so pages never jump. When there is no banner for someone, the space it would take is closed.

Does it work for guests and anonymous visitors?

Yes. Choose Everyone or Visitors only. Group targeting doesn't apply to them, because they aren't in your groups.

Which languages are supported?

The words on the banner (Got it, Urgent, Due …) appear in English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian and Dutch. Your own titles and messages can be translated into 27 languages; people see the version for their Confluence language.

Where is my data?

In Forge storage in your Atlassian cloud. The app makes no calls outside Atlassian. See Privacy.

What happens if I uninstall?

Banners stop showing immediately. Atlassian deletes the app's stored data according to its Forge data lifecycle.

What happens when the subscription ends?

Banners stop showing on pages and you can't publish or edit them. Your banners and confirmation records stay: you can still open insights, export CSVs and delete banners, and everything comes back when you renew.

Our policy page changed. Do people have to confirm again?

Only if the banner has Ask again when the page is edited turned on. Then anyone who confirmed an older version sees the banner again, and the export shows which version each person confirmed.
