This policy explains what Comment Defaults for Jira ("the app"), provided by Bobob Apps ("we"), stores and why. The app is built on Atlassian Forge and runs inside your Atlassian cloud.
Summary
- The app stores its rules and a log of the comments it handled. It never stores comment text.
- Everything is stored in Atlassian's Forge storage in your Atlassian cloud. The app sends no data outside Atlassian and uses no analytics or tracking services.
- We, the developer, cannot read your stored data.
What the app stores
| Data | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Rules (projects, issue types, author groups, the role or group to restrict to) and settings (on/off, dry run) | To apply your rules | Forge storage |
| Log rows: time, issue key, comment ID, author account ID, rule name, result, visibility, seconds the comment was visible | So admins can see and export what the app did | Forge storage (newest 500 rows) |
| Handled comment IDs | So a comment isn't handled twice | Forge storage |
| Time of the last hourly check | To know where to continue | Forge storage |
The app reads, but does not store, new comments (to check and restrict them), the author's groups (when a rule uses author groups) and project roles.
Retention and deletion
Log rows beyond the newest 500 are deleted automatically. If you uninstall the app, Atlassian handles the stored data under its Forge data lifecycle.
Data location and transfers
Data is stored and processed by Atlassian under its own terms and the data residency settings of your site. The app makes no external network calls.
Your rights
To ask about data the app stores for your site, contact your Jira admin, or email us at support@bobob.app.
Changes
We will update this page if the app starts storing anything new, and change the date above.
